The Period Wardrobe blog has some information up about a small production called, "Lady of the Butterflies." I am completely intrigued because I can find little to no other information about it. In my search, I found a book by the same title, but they don't appear to be related...or do they?
Here is a clip of the production below, which looks like a dual modern/period Cinderella story. I will continue to watch the site for updates. I am also linking it in the "Diversions" section, should you like to watch for yourself.

I fall in love with period dress over and over; it's like a drug! The more I learn and the more I see, the more I want to learn and the more I want to see. I zipped over to the Period Wardrobe blog - they have some beautiful things. Thank you for keeping me updated on 'littler' period films. Did you see the new film about Victoria and Albert? I haven't gotten a chance yet, but it's up for best costume this Sunday for the Oscars! Luv your work dearie!
ReplyDeleteHi Meg,
ReplyDeleteYes, I did see "The Young Victoria" and LOVED it! Very well done! I will be watching on Sunday to see if it wins.
I am loving all the Period films that have been out lately - (Bright Star, the Masterpiece Classic season, and Young Victoria) - feeling spoiled :)
