Wintertide Birds

Breaking through the quiet,
The gentle flutter of wintertide birds,
Enduring the bleakness and severity of winter in tiny winged frames

  1. Oooh, love that line: "Enduring the bleakness and severity of winter in tiny winged frames." Beautiful.

These pics reminded me of a movie I just saw: Miss Potter. It's about Beatrix Potter, the author of children's books. EXCELLENT movie!!! You've gotta see it if you haven't already!

  2. Thank you!
That picture really does look "Potterish," and thanks for pointing it out - I need to figure out who painted it. When I find it, I'll post back.
I do love that movie about Miss Potter. I posted about it here in an earlier post...,

...if you want to see some wintery animal pictures by her. She was quite the artist!

  3. This is where I got the bird picture. One of those beautiful Victorian prints that gives no credit to the artist, what a shame!
