Repeat and Repeat

Lyrics always get me.
I have Prince's "Let's Go Crazy" on repeat.
And repeat, And repeat.

"And if the elevator tries to bring you down,
Go crazy, punch a higher floor"
And that guitar solo is amazing

Mystery

Acquainted with death I ne'r want to be,

Now I find myself drowning in it's mystery.

Where do they go?

These souls we once knew,

Are the things we hear of heaven true?

Just yesterday they resided here,

Now they have faced an unknown fear,

Or maybe it's all peace and harmony,

Just one two three, step into eternity.

O Windy One

Every second with you is grand,
O windy nature who cups her hands,
Over my tiny listening ears,
Whizzing by me and making tears,
Form from the sidelines of my eyes,
Then whisking them off into the sky,
I breathe in deep with every sense,
Every moment every chance,
I will never lose my love for you,
Whether balmy, gusty, white or blue,
O windy one please never leave,
I'll tuck you up inside my sleeve,
To save for those coming dreary days,
When placid nature comes to stay,
O windy one please join me now,
For you are only mine somehow.

Light Life Bloom

My dream came true - spring is here.

I see little buds on all of the trees.

The warmth from the sun goes skin deep.

The ethereal-ness of the sky has gone away.

In it's place, a choral feast falls down from above.

Crickets walk and hop in places you don't want them to (home).

Brightness streams through the windows long after it should.

A flurry of light and life and bloom.

Long after I dreamt of it, it's arrival has come.

Spring is here...

Tiny Voice

the tiny voice inside of she,
speaks silent words so quietly,
heard by no one else but me,
i choose the ones to share you see.
the rest are kept away inside,
for some things need to just reside,
away from eyes and ears and hands,
that simply just don't understand,
that just because your words are few,
that they completely understand you!

A gorgeous snapshot of fall and winter  greeting each other.

Poetically beautiful art by the Hand.

The Birds Have Their Calendars Wrong

Last night it was a cold one,
Came near to zero degrees,
So today when I saw you little quail,
I wondered how you didn't freeze.
It seems the birds have their calendars wrong,
They don't leave or come like they should,
The stubborn little things have clipped their own wings,
Now they can't fly out though they wish they could.

The Girl Who Likes Ravens

I swear the winter Ravens come to me out of the blue. I saw this big guy out and about today, and then at the library book sale I saw a kids book called, "The Girl Who Liked Edgar Allan Poe," or something like that. After I grabbed the picture of the crow, he flew up to a roof and cawed like crazy ~ (see this post). There are some things to like about winter, after all.

I've Noticed Trees

The thing I've noticed about trees is that they do not have a good or bad "side."
They photograph well any way you look at them. They cannot help but be photogenic
because their souls are beautiful, and it comes through.

Beautiful every which way
They stand tall and ready all the day

Silent Night

Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ, the Savior is born
Christ, the Savior is born

Eponine's Tears

This morning getting ready for the day, I looked out my window and saw rain drops. Raindrops always make me think about Eponine from Les Miserables. I am not sure why, but I envision her walking through rain and her teardrops mixing with the rain on the French streets as she mourns Marius, ...but now I imagine, they would flow for Paris.

Emily Reminds Us

Happy Birthday, Emily Dickinson! With this quote, she reminds us to enjoy each and every day!

That it will never come again
is what makes life sweet.
